3 Michelin Star Chef Massimo Bottura creates unique gastro experience onboard luxury yacht Satori

An elevated experience - the Italian Riviera becomes a one-of-a-kind backdrop to an evening of culinary excellence as three Michelin Star Chef Massimo presents his signature dishes on board the luxurious yacht Satori.

The romance of the Italian Riviera viewed from the lounge chair on the deck of a luxury yacht, the star-studded evening Mediterranean sky, twinkling lights from the cliff-hugging towns dotted along the coast and a Three Michelin Star Chef on board recreating his signature dishes and sparking joy & conversation among an intimate group of ten – the makings of an eventful, fun and memorable experience.

The ever-energetic and charismatic Chef Massimo Bottura, who turned storytelling into an edible art form at his restaurant Osteria Francescana, a three-Michelin-star restaurant based in Modena, partners with Claus Thottrup’s Satori, a luxurious 41.5m sailing yacht to offer this ultimate luxury holiday experience for the 2021 and 2022 season.

“It will be the story of Osteria Francescana but told in an unprecedented setting. The flavours, the rhythm and the mood of the menu will be dialoguing with that of Satori and its environment, giving life to a whole new story. We want to give people the chance to immerse themselves in a unique setting, surrounded by the sea and share an unforgettable culinary journey,” explained Chef Massimo Bottura.

“Surprising flavours and personal stories will meet unexpected moments of joy and laughter to create a symphony of emotions. It isn’t only about eating and drinking but what you take with you after the meal is over – the long-lasting memories of time shared around a table and a new understanding of a cuisine, in this case, Italian and Emilian, seen through my eyes, with a touch of irony, a nod to contemporary art as well as my childhood memories,” he said.

Chef Massimo Bottura elaborated on the inspirations behind his creations and the essence of his menu. “The menu will bring guests on a culinary journey through the adventures of Osteria Francescana in the past 26 years, through the recipes, memories and stories that brought us where we are today. The journey always starts from our region and continues to discover the culinary richness of the whole Italian peninsula, with its infinite variety of landscapes, flavours and traditions, also taking some quick stops around the world. It is a journey of memories and emotions.”

“Guests will embark on the Satori boat and have the chance to taste Oops! I dropped the lemon tart, the iconic dessert that celebrates the contrasting soul of the South of Italy, immersed in incredible natural settings,” he said.
